This was honestly the LARGEST class to date – but it didn't seem like it because there was ample space, the acoustics were good, the lighting was wonderful, and spirits were HIGH!

How do you manage a group of 51 ladies?  Easy – divide and conquer!

We broke the room up into two groups, and I just did each demo twice, It worked great!  This photo is of one side of the room.  See that lovely light coming through those windows?  It was a beautiful day!

I have to thank the gals at Wooden Spools in Englewood for hosting me and finding the great venue, and taking care of so many details.

They even set up a “Breakfast with Bonnie” at the shop before class started to get the whole shebang started, and it was fun sharing breakfast with the ladies and getting to know them before they officially became my “students”.

Not hanging very straight!
((And the light from those great windows made many photos look a bit washed out—))

Shirttails is a great class for learning the ins and outs of many different units in several different sizes.

We mastered our 1/4" seams with the 4 patch units, and learned to spin the seams on the back -- all in ONE direction!

We have half-square triangles in MULTIPLE sizes, all demo’d with the Easy Angle Ruler.

There are flying geese –We learned how to use the Companion Angle and the Easy Angle together for those.  There is square in a square, and the blocks are in two different sizes.

What I loved most was seeing the variety in the fabrics that 51 women chose.  We had everything from Batiks to Brights to Pastels on white---and everything in between.  These women have VISION, and their quilts show it!

You will find the pattern for Shirttails in my book Scraps & Shirttails.

I'm heading home today. But I'm not being picked up for a few hours yet, so I think I'll put some time into one of my own projects on a featherweight I borrowed from Jessica -- I'll give it back to her when she picks me up to take me to the airport. Touch down time at home is about 11pm Eastern. I'll be ready for family and my own bed!

How about Tuesday Evening for Quilt Cam?  I leave for South Carolina on Wednesday, and I'd like to take Monday evening off just to decompress.  Or is that decompose? At this point I'm not sure!

Thank you, Colorado for such a great time --can't wait to come back!
