The first thing I created with my kit was a project for the Paper Pumpkin Gurus group that I belong to. We each create one very "Exclusive" project and combine them into full step-by-step directions for our very own Paper Pumpkin Subscribers. I can't show you that project but here are the other's that I created with the remainder of my kit:
Yup, I created a box to store all of my cards in! How cute is that? And you could actually use the box for a small gift to coordinate with one of the cards that has the same flower on it if you keep reading:
Do you notice a white bow instead of yellow or blue? That's because I flipped the pieces over to reveal white cardstock!
I'll show you how to create this box after I show you all the cards (minus one), that I created with all the included kit pieces:
Card #1:
Card #2:
I used the bow piece and left it flat. I cut two pieces of Basic Gray Cardstock using the Small Oval Punch (retiring soon) and added swirls with the Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker. I glued both ovals in place with Stampin' Dimensionals. This creates a pair of sunglasses for my Dude!
Card #3:
This is the card that coordinates with the box. The flowers are from the Crazy About You stamp set!
Card #4:
I added stars to the front of my card with the star punch from Itty Bitty Punch Pack and the larger star is from the Stars Framelits. The background is also embossed with the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder.
Card #5:
And here are the steps to creating the box:
You will need two of the pocket card bases:
Position them as shown in the photo above and peel the adhesive strips. Press in place, a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 3" x 3".
You will now score a line on the larger end of the box. I folded the box in half and used a pencil to trace the angel of the smaller side of the box and scored using the line as shown above. Once you score your line, fold on score line. Repeat on 2nd piece. Now you can assemble the boxes together by removing the backing on the tabs. The tabs will be glued to the outside of the box but will not show when layer 2 is added.
Layer #2:
Using one yellow layer, measuring from the center score line, score to 3-1/4" on each end and fold as shown above. Glue around the box to completely cover two sides. Add a 2nd piece of yellow that has been cut 3-1/8" from the center on both sides. Overlap and glue to the first piece:
Add glue to the underneath of both flaps and press in place by folding over:
Decorate as you like. I stamped four flowers and cut two with the Flower Medallion Punch and glued them in place. I fussy-cut the other two flowers by using the white space on the inside to create a smaller flower to layer. I glued the 2nd flowers in place with Stampin' Dimensionals and added Pearl Jewels.
