Cindy hosted a workshop last week and had requested a "Butterfly Themed Workshop", which as you know is right up my alley!  We had a good time and these are all of the projects we made:

For the first card I demo'd, I made a stencil with a square hole in the center by using the Squares Framelits Dies. I then stamped a "partial"  Swallowtail stamp image by inking with Memento Black Ink and placing my stencil on the cardstock piece. In doing so, the square hole is all that is stamped so the end result is a partial butterfly. I then used Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush Stampin' Write Markers to add color to my butterfly:

The sentiment is from the Lovely Amazing You stamp set and inked with Coastal Cabana Ink. I glued the 5" x 3-3/4" Whisper White Cardstock layer to my card base using Stampin' Dimensionals. The card base measures 11" x 4-1/4" which is scored and folded at 5-1/2" in the center.

Card #2:

For card #2, I stamped my Swallowtail image twice using Tempting Turquoise Ink and fussy-cut the right-hand side of my butterfly on both pieces and keeping the body. One of the pieces I cut has only half of a body and no antennae. I layered and glued the butterfly bodies together by positioning one a little lower than the other. To give the appearance of flight, I add two double-layers of Stampin' Dimensionals about an inch from the body and pressed in place.

The card base is Rich Razzleberry Cardstock measuring 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored and folded in the center at 4-1/4". I used Pumpkin Pie for layer 2 measuring 5" x 3-3/4" and embossed with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set, inked with Tempting Turquoise Ink and stamped on half of a Tea Lace Doily.

Card #3:

Card #3 was made by all attendees who took their cards home with them. We used the Hexagon Punch to add 3 holes and embossed the Whisper White Cardstock layer measuring 5" x 3-3/4" with the Spring Flowers Embossing Folder. We glued this layer with Stampin' Dimensionals on a Back to Black Designer Paper layer measuring 5-1/4" x 4". The card base is Whisper White Cardstock measuring 11" x 4-1/4" and scored and folded at 5-1/2".

The stamp sets used were Label Something, That's The Ticket and Polka Dot Pieces. We also used the Elegant Butterfly Punch and the Ticket Punch along with Rose Red and Lost Lagoon Inks.
