I hope your travels will take you to Texas Quiltworks!
Deep in the heart of Texas A&M Aggie Country, this shop is stocked with everything you would ever need fabric wise for ANY style of quilt you are longing to make.
We stopped here on our way to my lecture with the Brazos Bluebonnets quilt guild. We had enough time to browse and shop a bit before heading over to the Brazos Center to set up….and I enjoyed wandering around the bright and airy aisles of the shop.
Love the “Texas” state shape quilt on the wall!
Keep your eye on the triangular folded fat quarters on the top shelf of the bolt cases ---
The fat quarters circle the room like prairie points – see them?
See them here? What a great display!
And even here!
Lots of tall walls covered with samples to whet your appetite.
Circular bolt racks form islands to walk around, finding just the right shade.
Helpful and friendly staff ready to wait on you!
Tools and notions and threads galore!
And some fun décor – just for ---FUN!
I have a big jar of partially covered thread spools at home – do you?
How about a jar of sliver trimmings? Colorful!
More goodies around every corner, including lots of cowboy fabric.
And yes, you can find your fabrics for your Texas A&M student, fan or alumni here!
Put Lone Star Quiltworks on your must-visit list!
And tell them Bonnie sent you!
Busy day today ---you will find me spending most of the day at the dining room table signing and filling book orders! There is no postal service today, so they will be slammed with everything tomorrow.
My flight to Colorado is at 6am. UGH! That’s a 4am run to the airport ---so The Hubster is responsible for dropping everything off later in the day when the Post Office is open.
I’m planning on Quilt-Cam tonight, will you be there? 9pm Eastern! Not sure if it will be more paper piecing of cornerstones or more string piecing of sashings or maybe some block construction, it all depends on if I have time to do some pre-cutting before time! We’ll probably just do an hour tonight instead of 1-1/2 hours. That 4am run to the airport will come early.
It’s a brand new week! What do you plan to do with it?
