Today I am showing you two 3D projects I created just for Kaitlynn. The first one is a "Santa's Key". She and my daughter Jessica do not have a chimney in their apartment so how is Santa going to visit? This key is created to hang from the door knob so Santa can let himself in:
I typed the poem on my computer perfectly sized to fit in the smaller of the "Two Tags Die".
For a key, I went to my local hardware store and planned to purchase some large keys. Low and behold, they keep a bucketful of rejects when cutting them for customers so they told me to dig in and grab what I wanted for FREE! I stamped the Santa from "Forest Festivities Stamp Set" in "StazOn Jet Black Ink" and colored him with "Stampin' Write Markers" and cut him out with the "Small Oval Punch". I then used "Crystal Effects", just a dab, to glue it to the key. I then added "Crystal Effects" to the whole stamped image. Make sure you let it dry for a few hours before doing anything else with the key:
If you click on the photo below, you will see a larger view and be able to read the whole poem:
3D Project #2 is "Reindeer Food":
Again, this is for Kaitlynn, to sprinkle on the ground in front of their apartment for the reindeer to feed on.
The reindeer is created with the "Stocking Builder Punch", the "Snowflake Punch", "Baker's Twine" and a red "Brad" for his nose:
The container is an empty Stampin' Up! embellishment container that I filled with oatmeal and red decorative sugar. I punched 2 small holes with my Crop-A-Dile, side-by-side on the container's side to tie my ribbon to. The top is created with the "Scallop Circle Punch", "1 3/4" Circle Punch" and the new "Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details" that you will be able to purchase in January:
If you can't read the poem from this photo, click on the photo to enlarge it! I hope you have enjoyed my two kid-friendly projects for today. Have a great day!
