Sunday is usually a day of laziness for me. My husband and I travel all week long for our business so when the weekend is here, I don't want to go anywhere. Today it is cold a rainy outside. I took the morning to get ready for a workshop on Tuesday, Big Shot Club on Thursday and Advent Calendar class for Saturday. Yikes, busy week! I'm all caught up and needed something else to create so I checked out "The Paper Players Challenge" for today and they have this color challenge posted by LeAnne Pugliese:

I've been trying to show my customers non-traditional Christmas colors lately so I haven't played much with the red's and the green's yet for Christmas cards. This challenge made me think and I decided to go "Punch Art":

We have these new nifty little things called "Shaker Frames" in the "Holiday Mini Catalog". I haven't used them much so I decided to incorporate them in my punch art ornaments. I saw a similar card that used the shaker frames like this for the ornaments but did not jot down the name of the creator. I had some tiny gold beads sitting around that I thought would be perfect to fill my shaker's with:

Card Supplies:
  • Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Riding Hood Red, River Rock
  • Inks: Riding Hood Red
  • Tools: Modern Label Punch, Shaker Frames, Window Sheets, Ornament Punch, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder, Snowburst Textured Impressions Folder, Stampin' Dimensionals, Tasteful Trim Die, Big Shot Machine, 1" Circle Punch, Corner Rounder Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Stamps: Creative Elements, Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Misc: Beads
Thank you to Erika Clark for the idea on the shaker ornament! I have 2 posts for today so don't forget to scroll down to read the other. Thanks for stoppin' in!
