For Ann's workshop, I demo'd the Stocking Builder Punch and the coordinating Stitched Stockings Stamp Set. I wanted to show the girls how versatile both of these items are. Not just for Christmas! Here is the first card I demo'd:
Turn the stocking upside-down and you have a reindeer! Remember last week when I made a rocking horse with the punch? Well, this is kinda the same idea. Add a red nose for Rudolph and some antlers made with the Snowflake Punch! I also added reins using the Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine:
Card Supplies:
- DSP: Holly Berry
- Cardstock: Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake
- Accessories: Brads, Bakers Twine
- Tools: BigShot Machine, Scallop Circle #2 Die, Stocking Builder Punch, Ribbon Punch, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots
- Inks: White Craft Ink, Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker
- Stamp Set: Merry & Type
I had a hard time capturing the Pink Pirouette that I used on this card but for this card I turned the stocking into baby booties! Stamp the stocking images, cut them out with the Stocking Builder Punch, snip off the cuff and set aside, trim off a little bit off the stocking to make it shorter and re-attach the cuff:
Aren't the booties adorable? I also used the Designer Frames Textured Impressions Folder and used my Square Punch to knock out the middle part. Makes a nice frame for my booties doesn't it?
Card Supplies:
- Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
- Stamp Sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Stitched Stockings
- Inks: Pretty In Pink, Pink Pirouette
- Tools: Word Window Punch, Designer Frames Textured Impressions Folder, Snow Burst Textured Impressions Folder, Stocking Builder Punch, Square Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Corner Rounder Punch
- Accessories: White Bakers Twine
This is the card everyone created to take home with them. The background layer is cut at 5.5" x 6.5" and scored in the middle at 3.25" for a shorter fold. When you glue the second panel, I make sure it is the exact size of a regular card once glued to the first layer so that it will fit in a card envelope. As you can see in the photo, I measured down 2 1/2 scallops and glued the 2nd panel in place after both layers were created to my liking:
Card Supplies:
- Cardstock: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Basic Gray
- DSP: Neutrals Paper Pack
- Stamp Sets: Four the Holidays, Stitched Stockings
- Inks: Basic Gray, Tempting Turquoise
- Tools: Scallop Squares Duo Die, Lace Ribbon Punch, Snow Burst Textured Impressions Folder, Stocking Builder Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals
Have a great day!
