Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving! Because today is Thanksgiving, I decided to "theme" my card for this holiday. Now, wait, how do I do that with the colors below for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge. Very simple, keep reading:

I decided to turn these colors into acorns and oak leaves:

I started out by creating a background for my Night of Navy Cardstock layer. I stamped oak leaves using Whisper White Craft Ink. I then layered that with a skinny layer of River Rock, followed by another layer of Lucky Limeade and glued the trio of layers to my background layer of River Rock.

For my acorns I used the Ornament Punch and punched (2) using River Rock Cardstock and (2) more using the In-Color Patterns Paper Pack. I cut the patterned ornament in half horizontally and used the Scallop Border Punch to create the scallops. Layer on top of the River Rock and glue on a white cardstock layer. Punch the branch using the Bird Punch in Night of Navy Cardstock and place around your acorns, tucking where needed.

The sentiment is from the My Friend Stamp Set stamped in Night of Navy Ink and cut with the Word Window Punch. I glued it in place with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks for joining us today and I hope you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving!
