I get more excited about “Leap Day” than I do nearly every other holiday because it only comes around once every four years!

Come to think of it – some of those OTHER holidays like Christmas might mean that much more if they didn’t show up every single year leaving us feeling like we can’t get caught up between them coming around so quickly.

For me, this year Leap Day is extra special because I am home for it.  It actually is a gift to me to be able to stay up here at the cabin for one more day, sewing my brains out. 

Next year I will remember this free day, sigh, and count down that I will have THREE more years before a day like this will ever come my way again.
