I have to admit to you that I had a really difficult time with today's challenge at Merry Monday. I am not a vintage girl and Nina wanted us to create a "Vintage Style Christmas Card". I also have to admit that I skipped over this one and finished the other two weeks for the month of April as some of us work ahead. Then I came back to start my vintage card:

Vintage to me means old and dirty so I tried to make my card look old and dirty. I started by crumpling up some Typeset Designer Paper and then flattening it back out. I added some dots with Cherry Cobbler Ink and the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. I sponged the edges of the paper with Soft Suede Ink and glued it to a card base of Cherry Cobber positioning it at an angle. I trimmed off the edges and sponged again:

The Cherry Cobbler Cardstock is sponged also. I created the banner by stamping the sentiment on Very Vanilla Cardstock and snipping the ends. Next I stamped three flowers on Very Vanilla Cardstock and colored them with my Sponge Dauber and Soft Suede Ink and added Cherry Cobbler Ink to the center with a Blender Pen and my ink pad:

After gluing the sentiment in place I fussy-cut the flowers. Two of them are glued in place flat and the third I added Stampin' Dimensionals to. I can't wait to see what my teammates have added to the gallery this week!
