So the theme of the birthday party was a "Luau" as you can tell from all the lei's she is wearing in the photo above. All of the kids wore lei's and hula skirts. It was quite cute. Most of Kaitlynn's gifts were of the "FROZEN" nature. She loves the movie Frozen. Even her bedroom was redone with the theme. Dave and I purchased the "Elsa" ensemble for Kaitlynn's Build-A-Bear and also a Frozen outfit for her to wear so of course I had to create something to go with the Frozen theme for the packaging. Olaf is a favorite of many kids and I had seen quite a few variations of Olaf on Pinterest. This is what I came up with:
The trio consists of a hand-made gift bag, a card and a treat holder. All with coordinating Olaf Punch Art. This was so much fun to create. Here is a close-up of the gift bag:
If you would like to make one of these bags, I have a tutorial here: GIFT BAG
The Treat Holder which holds $7 worth of quarters for turning 7 as Kaitlynn only likes the "big" coin:
And finally the card:
Olaf was created like this:
- Head: Bow Die (hand-trimmed on the ends)
- Mouth: Wide Oval Punch
- Tooth: Ticket Punch
- Nose: Small Oval Punch (retired) and 1/4" Hand-held Punch for the Tangerine Tango Nose
- Eyes: Owl Punch
- Hairs-Hand-cut
- Body: 1-1/4" and 2" Circle Punches
- Feet: 1/2" Circle Punch
- Buttons: 1/4" Hand-held Punch
- Arms:Cut with my Silhouette Cameo
- Add highlights with a Signo Gel White Pen
