Good Morning!

Today I will be showing you how to use only "part" of your framelits to cut one edge only of your cardstock piece. This is something you might want to use when adding a border to one edge of a cardstock piece. In my sample below, I wanted to add a fancy edge to the bottom. I stamped my image first on a piece of cardstock cut so that the width is slightly smaller than my framelits. Once the image is stamped, slide the cardstock piece so that the part you want cut, slides underneath the framelits cutting side as shown below:

I taped a small piece of masking tape to hold everything in place.

Create you Big Shot "sandwich" as follows......
  • platform set on Tab 1
  • clear cutting pad
  • cardstock & framelit
  • 2nd clear cutting pad
Position the "sandwich" so that the end that will be cut is the closest to your  Big Shot and will slide in first once you start turning your handle. Slowly turn the handle until you hear the framelit cut. Do not make the sandwich go all the way through. Once your border has been cut, stop and turn your handle in the opposite direction so that your "sandwich" comes back out.

Note: if you continue to turn your handle, the whole cardstock piece would go through and you would end up with a "bump" on the other end of your framelit where the cardstock was sitting on top. This is why you need to turn in the opposite direction to avoid this.

This is what cutting only part of the framelits will look like. Isn't this a gorgeous border for your card?

Thanks for stopping by today!
