I am using the "D is for Dog Stamp Set" and you can complete this technique with any type of stamp that would show motion..such as animals, vehicles, toys...etc!
Supplies Needed:
- Cardstock
- Ink Pad
- Stamp of choice
Ink your stamp and stamp to the right of your cardstock piece. In this sample, I created a square that measures 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". I turned my cardstock piece so that it sits diagonally and used Soft Suede Ink to ink up my dog image.
Step 2:
Without re-inking your stamp, move over about 1/2" to the left of the stamped image and stamp again. By not re-inking you are stamping a less ink-intensive image.
Step 3:
Repeat Step 2 to create a 3rd stamped image, this one even lighter than the other two. You may choose to keep inking but the card I am creating today only required 3 stamped images. That's all there is to "Motion"! Quite simple huh?
This is the card I created for today's "Motion" card. I sent this card to a fellow demo Ann Schach, who's dog had surgery a few weeks ago and yes, everything turned out okay for Ann & Brody!
Doesn't it look like this dog is actually moving on the cardstock layer? I can almost see a happy dog wagging his tail as he strolls on by!
I hope that you have enjoyed this technique today and that you will try this on your own. I would love to hear about your results! Here are the remainder of the supplies used:
