Oh you are going to love this color challenge for today at Create with Connie & Mary. The "Soft Suede" is soft enough to use as a subtle Valentine's card, yet bold enough to make the "Blushing Bride and Pool Party Cardstock" just pop!

Here is my card for the design team:


Other than the background layer of "Confetti White Cardstock", everything else you see here today is all from the new "Occasions Mini Catalog". Lets start with the top of the card:


  • The cute little stamped image is from the new "Take It To Heart Stamp Set" that I stamped in "Craft White" and embossed with "White Embossing Powder" on "Soft Suede Cardstock". I then used the new "Hearts Collection Framelits" to cut out the heart shape.  
  • Notice the cute little heart shapes I used to adorn the stamped heart? Those were created with the "Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die" in two colors: Blushing Bride & Pool Party. I plopped a few of the up using "Stampin' Dimensionals".
  • You will love the new "Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies". I used one twice to decorate the bottom of my card. 1st on the "Attic Boutique Designer Series Paper" and I also added another as a layer with "Soft Suede Cardstock. 
  • And finally, the new "Satin Pleated Ribbon" in "Blushing Bride" is also to die for. All pre-pleated for you:
