I traveled to Lora's Workshop yesterday afternoon. Other than weekend workshops, this was my first workshop ever held during the day and it was kinda fun! And I got to drive home before dark set in!

This is the first card I demo'd for the girls:

I wanted to show the girls my new favorite embossing powder in the color "Pewter". I just love it! It almost looks like gold & silver mixed together. If you look at the photo below you'll see more of the color. After I embossed the image and hand-cut, I sponged "Real Red Ink" around the edges with a "Sponge Dauber":

Card Supplies:
  • Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Wild Wasabi, Real Red, Chocolate Chip
  • DSP: Holly Berry Bouquet
  • Tools: Ribbon Punch, Scallop Circle #2 Die, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Pewter Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Mat Pack & Paper Piercer, Sponge Daubers
  • Inks: Real Red, Wild Wasabi, VersaMark
  • Stamp Sets: French Foliage, Holiday Happiness, Pines & Poinsettias
Now lets move on to project #2:

I wanted to show the girls how to create a rosette and how perfectly the rosette fits in the center of the "Hello Doily Stamp":

The rosette is created by using a 1" x 12" piece of DSP. Score at every 1/2", flip DSP over and starting at the 1/4" mark, again score at every 1/2". The doily is stamped in "VersaMark" Ink and sprinkled with "Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder", heat set with "Heat Tool". Very elegant!

Card Supplies:
  • DSP: Neutrals Patterns Paper Pack
  • Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Whisper White,
  • Inks: Baja Breeze, River Rock, VersaMark
  • Tools: Modern Label Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Heat Tool, Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sponge Daubers
  • Stamps: Hello Doily, Friendly Phrases
  • Accessories: Square Rhinestone Brads, Quilted Satin Ribbon in Cherry Cobbler
And for the final project, the girls all created this card:

The "Pennant Builder Punch" and the "Pennant Parade Stamp Set" paired together make the greatest cards. I used the pennant images on this card and turned them into trees:

Card Supplies:
  • Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi
  • Inks: Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Garden Green
  • Tools: Punch Pack, 3" Circle Die, Snowburst Textured Impressions Folder, Ribbon Punch, Pennant Builder Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sponge Daubers
  • Accessories: Rhinestone Jewels
  • DSP: Brights Patterns Paper Pack
  • Stamps: Pennant Parade, Four the Holidays, Creative Elements
