My project for today is an envelope keeper:
This little project opens up to reveal envelopes on the inside to hold photo's, die-cuts, embellishments, gift cards...anything at all. Here is how I created this project:
Step 1:
Using (3) #10 envelopes, lick and glue the flaps to each envelope. Score each envelope in the center on the short side. Add a piece of Sticky Strip to the center of each envelope where you scored the envelope:
Step 2:
Remove Sticky Strip backing and glue each envelope by layering them on top of each other. Press in place. This is what your envelopes should look like when you have all (3) glued to each other and folded:
Step 3:
Using a paper cutter, cut the end off of each envelope. Each half should measure 4 1/2" long:
Step 4:
Using a piece of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock measuring 11" x 4 1/4", score at 5" and 10". Add Sticky Strip to the 5" score. Also add (4) pieces of Sticky Strip to your envelopes as shown in the photo:
Step 5:
Using the Scallop Trim Border Punch, punch the end of the cardstock that has the 10" score line. Remove backing from Sticky Strip and glue the envelopes layer to the cardstock layer:
Step 6:
Decorate as follows:
- Chocolate Chip 4 1/4" x 3 3/4"
- Top Note Die Layer, Just Add Cake Designer Paper, trim to fit
- 3" Whisper White Circle, sponge edges with Sponge Dauber & Chocolate Chip Ink. Stamp with image from the Always Elegant Stamp Set in Chocolate Chip Ink
- Embellish with leaves and acorns from the Gently Falling Stamp Set stamped with Chocolate Chip Ink and Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie & Chocolate Chip Cardstocks. Hand-cut with Paper Snips. Glue acorns with Stampin' Dimensionals
- Sponge all edges of envelope keeper with Chocolate Chip Ink
Step 7:
Add velcro dots to the end flap as shown:
